I am a mathematician at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, working mainly in the field of mathematical optimization.
I obtained my PhD in Mathematics from IMPA in 2009 under the supervision of Benar F. Svaiter . I held a postdoctoral position at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2016, supervised by Renato D. C. Monteiro . From March to June 2025, I served as a Visiting Professor at Kyoto University's Graduate School of Informatics .
My current research topics include: convex optimization, algorithms, complexity, convex analysis, monotone operators.
